Ok, now that I have been running my Android Eris for about a month now, I have learned a few things about “all-in-one” devices. There is no such thing. The ipod does good at what it does and a cell phone does what it is good at with apps and making phone calls.
I am trying to realize why we need thousands of apps on a cell phone any way. I can maybe understand GPS, weather and maybe Facebook and Twitter, but do we really need fart apps and apps that read books to you?
The tablet maybe better use for all these apps. I still hate cell phones even though I am using one. I think they turn people into just for themselves and not socialize. I find that to be true even with me lately. I want to play with my phone and ignore people in public.
Another thing I am trying to understand is why are there so many handsets coming out. Can’t we just have one Android phone and be done, then in two years another Android phone come out? It is crazy. I can see why an Iphone is appealing to a consumer. They only come out every 2 years or so. Makes lots of sense. Technology is confusing to begin with.
I needed to rant about this because I am tired of being over whelmed by technology. Maybe we should go back to the old days. Na, not really, but at least where electronics are not so disposable.
Playing with a neat panoramic program for Android called Photo Stitch. There is a lite version which only allows 2 pictures and a full version that allows 5 or more.
I know I haven’t been posting much lately and slacking. But life and work have been really crazy. After this week will be back to “normal” promise to post more.
